Rebellion add Andretti to Le Mans 24 Hour line up

1 Mins read

Rebellion Racing have announced their latest signing for the 2010 Le Mans 24 Hours as they gear up for the 2010 season.

Alongside the already announced Nicolas Prost and Neel Jani will be American Marco Andretti who will be joining the team piloting the #12 Lola-Rebellion LMP1.

Andretti, Grandson of legendary Mario will get his first taste of the LMP1 car at the official Le Mans Series test session taking place on 7 and 8 March at the Paul Ricard High Tech Test Track.

Team Manager, Bart Hayden, welcomed Marco to the team, “We believe that Marco will fit perfectly with his two co-drivers in the #12 Lola-Rebellion. He has shown that he has the ability to compete at the highest level of motorsport. All three drivers in the #12 car raced at the same time in the A1GP series so they know each other from those days. When we get to Le Mans, Marco will be able to draw on the experience of the rest of the guys in the team and we are looking forward to seeing him in the car at the Paul Ricard test in March.”

Andretti has previous sports car experience when he drove an Acura LMP2 in the Sebring 12 hours and Petit Le Mans in 2008.
