Carlin Motorsport, the team which the late Henry Surtees competed for in Formula BMW in 2007 and British Formula 3 in 2008, will be competing in a special race in his memory.
Surtees Jnr, who was tragically killed in a Formula 2 accident at Brands Hatch in July 2009, had his Formula 3 car prepared by mechanic Daniel Hale, and he saw Henry win on his first attempt in Formula 3.
Now, in his memory, Hale is inviting competitors from all Championships to join him on a charity run at Oulton Park on the 3rd April, after the on track action has finished for the day. The charity run is on behalf of Headway, a charity set up to help and support those affected by brain injuries.
All the money that is raised from this charity run will help fund an arts and crafts centre being built in memory of Henry at the Headway Tunbridge Wells and District Centre.
If you would like to sponsor Hale, or if you would like to take part yourself, please visit http://www.justgiving.com/carlinraceforhenry or leave your messages of support for all the competitors in the Facebook group which has been set up for the event: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=102330483137525&ref=mf
