Mehri goes round to take first Euroseries win

1 Mins read

Spain's Roberto Mehri claimed his maiden victory in the F3 Euroseries in Sunday's race at the Hockenheimring. The Mucke Motorsport driver led a Spanish 1-2 as he took the win ahead of compatriot Daniel Juncadella (Prema) in the fourth round of the DTM supporting category.

Italian Edoardo Mortara will head to Valencia in the lead of the championship after taking third ahead of his Signature team mate, Saturday's race winner Marco Wittmann. ART drivers Valtteri Bottas and Jim Pla rounded out the top six.

Britain's Alex Sims' (ART) difficult weekend continued; after starting seventeenth due to crashing out of Saturday's race, he battled his way up to seventh before a mystery mid race mechanical problem cost him around two seconds per lap, and he was pushed down to eighth before the end by his impressive fellow countryman, rookie Adrian Quaife-Hobbs.

Rounds 5 and 6 of the F3 Euroseries will be held at Valencia's Circuit Ricardo Tormo on the 22nd and 23rd of May.
