The famous Hamsterley forest stage makes a welcome return to top level British rallying, with it’s inclusion on this year’s running of the Roger Albert Clark Rally.
The forest near Bishop Auckland will form a six-mile stage for competitors to contest in November’s event.
Hamsterley will feature after the Yorkshire legs, as the crews head to another icon of British rallying, Kielder forest.
Speaking of the inclusion of Hamsterley, Rally Manager Colin Heppenstall stated “I’ve been trying for six years to get a stage in Hamsterley and this is the first time we’ve been able to use it”.
Heppenstall added “It is ideally sited to break up the long road section from Langdale to Pundershaw, as it is almost exactly halfway between them”.
The Roger Albert Clark Rally takes place from the 26th-29th November.
