Brundle Looking Forward To Snetterton F3 Debut

1 Mins read

This weekend the Cooper Tires British F3 Series heads to Snetterton for a bank holiday blast with a famous motor sport family name making a return to the Formula 3 series.

Kings Lynn’s Alex Brundle is looking to make the most of his home advantage with the T-Sport teams Volkswagen-powered Dallara in his debut season.

The 20-year-old has faced a steep learning curve in his first season in the highly competitive Formula 3 series but will be looking forward to hitting the track again after breaking in to the top ten finishers during the last outing at Silverstone.

“Snetterton is one of the fastest tracks in the UK, with a couple of really thrilling corners in Riches and Coram,” said Brundle. “However, it offers a very different challenge to other circuits because there are fewer corners, which means that the gaps between the cars tend to be less. It requires precise driving and its great to have that kind of challenge on the F3 calendar.

“I’m really looking forward to this weekend as it’s my local track and I’ve always gone well there. It’s a place where local knowledge helps you out and the massive tows you can get down the Revett Straight provide some really decent racing. It’s also a good track in the rain as it takes on a whole new personality!”

The British F3 Championship is part of the double header weekend that will see the Avon Tyres British GT Championship take to the track along with support in the shape of the MSA Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain, Formula Academy, the Ginetta Challenge and the Volkswagen Racing Cup.
