As the British Formula Three International Series heads into its final rounds Raikkonen-Robertson received a boost, their three cars in in the fastest four at the end of a two day test at Rockingham before the championship goes to Brands Hatch this weekend.
Back on the track where he claimed his maiden win in July Felipe Nasr recorded the fastest time on both days of testing around the 1.94 mile track. After setting a 1:12.502 on the first day of the test the Brazilian improved to 1:12.242 on the second day at the track (Wednesday September 22), slightly slower than the pace that would have been needed for pole position back in July at the track.
The faster Wednesday time put him 0.122 seconds faster than new champion Jean-Eric Vergne in the combined times from the sessions. The Frenchman was the only non-double R driver in the top four with Daisuke Nakajima and Carlos Huertas completing the leading quartet, the latter just over three-tenths down on Nasr's benchmark.
Fastest time honours in the National Class were split between the title rivals Menasheh Idafar and James Cole. Idafar took the spoils on the first day of testing before his rival and T-Sport teammate Cole went faster on the second day.
The pair are separated by only four points with just the three races at Brands Hatch remaining.
