Britcar 24 Hours – Hours 13 Update

1 Mins read

We cruised towards the midpoint of the race under the control of the safety car and there we remained for the next hour.

One of the most exciting things to happen in the hour was the return of the number 39 BMW of Ian Donaldson to the pits. The BMW went off the road at Vale at the end of the last hour, but its return revealed a huge impact on the front end. According to Donaldson, he avoided a spinning car ahead of him, but in doing so hit a wall.

No change at the front, Jet Alliance Porsche leads from the reigning Britcar champions MJC and the Neil Garner Porsche GT3 Cup.

Elsewhere Alex Buncombe in the yellow RJN Nissan 370z put in a strong performance and navigated his way though the traffic before the safety car period. Lapping over ten seconds a lap quicker than his rivals, Buncombe moved up ten places in a little over 6 laps.
