1 Mins read

British Engerneering company Triple Eight Engeneering have confirmed they plan to enter a team into the 2011 Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain championship after the deal was given the green light.

The multi-British Touring Car Champions will enter two Triple Eight run cars. They have also confirmed they could run more on behalf of customers.

Porsche engineer Paul Leach will oversee the operation that will run along side its BTCC team.

Team Principal Ian Harrison is thrilled at the deal, will run alongside its BTCC team. “We're delighted and honoured to have received written confirmation from Porsche that we've got at least the two cars we wanted for next season.

“I'm delighted too that Paul Leach has decided to join us. Next season with the new car for everyone, it is a good time to join the Cup but I have no doubt that Paul's expertise and vast knowledge of the Porsche will be an invaluable asset”.

The team is already in talks with a number of parties regarding drives, but would still welcome approaches from both prospective drivers and driver/owners.
