Aston Martin V12 Vantage And LMP1 United By Engine

The Aston Martin V12 Vantage and the company's 2010 LMP1 endurance racer ran side by side, the two cars vastly different but sharing the same engine.

The six litre, 510 bhp engine is a hugely versatile powerplant for the manufacturer, not only dwelling in the two cars showcased in the video, but also in the One-77, DBS, DB9 and Rapide models.

The footage brings together the pinnacle of Aston Martin's Vantage range and the Lola-Aston Martin LMP1 car that represented the pinnacle of the marques racing efforts in 2009 and 2010. Aston Martins can also be found racing in all four classes of the GT ranks.
