MotorSport Vision Racing Celebrates Fifth Birthday

1 Mins read

MotorSport Vision Racing (MSVR), the in-house racing division of major UK circuit owner MSV, celebrated its fifth birthday at Snetterton today with a special photoshoot and presentation.

MSVR's first meeting was held on 19th March 2006 at Brands Hatch and it has since become the fastest growing organising club in the UK. It has organised international events like DTM, WTCC and Formula Two, as well as a host of club motorsport events.

The presentation took place at the start of the first MSVR event of 2011, the MSVR Season Starter, the first event round the new Snetterton 300 circuit. MSVR now run twenty championships, with new additions for 2011 including the EV Cup, the MSV F3 Cup and the Radical UK and Clubman's Cups.

A selection of vehicles from some of MSVR's biggest series, the Lotus on Track Elise Trophy, Project 8 Racing Saloons, Club MSV Trackday Trophy, Production BMW Championship and MSV F3 Cup, were lined up for a commemorative photograph to celebrate the anniversary.

David Scott, Race Operations Manager for MSVR, who was presented with a birthday card from Motorsport commentator Ian Titchmarsh, said: “It doesn't seem possible that five years have elapsed since the first MSVR race meeting was held in 2006. At that event there were just four categories racing with just 88 competitors – this weekend seven different MSVR championships and series are on the grid with some 270 competitors! A number of old friends are still us today, whether drivers, officials, marshals or supporters, and we hope to welcome some new ones too. Here's to the next five years.”
