Andrew Shelley has unveiled a new partnership with Park House Healthcare Limited for the 2011 Porsche Carrera Cup GB season and celebrated it by taking his first ever Pro-Am2 win in round three at Donington Park.
Yorkshireman Shelley contested a part-season in the sportscar series in 2004, before returning in 2010, finishing seventh in Pro-Am1. A class podium at the opening rounds at Brands Hatch, followed by the win at Donington, means he now lies second in class after four races.
The new deal will see the Park House Healthcare logo adorn his GT3 Cup car, which was described by race commentator Alan Hyde as the best looking on the grid. The company are a leading supplier of specialist pressure relieving and pressure reducing equipment, hospital beds and moving and handling solutions to the NHS, community and nursing home sectors.
Shelley said: “I'm delighted that Park House is supporting us this season. Stephen Owens, Managing Director of Park House, is a great Porsche enthusiast and I hope Stephen and his staff will be closely involved in our programme.”
Owens added: “I've known Andrew for many years, and having an obvious interest in Andrew's results, we've followed the Porsche Carrera Cup GB for some time. We take great pleasure in supporting Andrew and being associated with the race team. Good luck to Andrew and all the team!”
