Motorsport At The Palace: One Week To Go!

1 Mins read

There is now less than a week to go before the second Motorsport at The Palace event, and after the maiden event welcomed 5,000 fans organisers are capable of building on that success this year, with a wide range of attractions.

On track over 200 examples of vintage and modern machinery doing battle for the honour of the fastest time around the twisting woodland layout. Exotic machinery including Maseratis, Ferraris, Bugattis and Coopers will be in action. Leading the way in racing machinery, ex-A1GP racer Aaron Steele will be driving his current charge – a Dallara Formula 3 car – and Greg Thornton of Titan Historic Racing will be driving a fearsome Surtees TS11 F5000.

Those who prefer the two-wheeled arm of racing will enjoy bikes from the Brooklands motorcycle museum, with examples of classic machinery running throughout the weekend. Numerous car clubs and other collection will also be at the event, including the Colin Chapman Museum, Historic Rally Car Register and the Ferrari Owners' Club among them.

Away from the track there will be F1 and off-road simulators and Playstation pods for fans to try out their own driving ability. For younger guests Roary the Racing Car and Big Chris will be back in the Roary Zone, where a range of activites will be taking place.

Motorsport at The Place in association with Ancaster Group takes place on May 29-30, with walk-up adult tickets £10.00 on both days. Under sixteens will be admitted free, but must be accompanied by an adult.
