Ginetta continued the extensive test programme for their G55 GT3 car last week when they took it to Donington Park for its first UK test with its new 2012 configuration engine. The new car has covered almost 5,000km in testing across the UK and Europe over the winter, with the majority of the testing being conducted by Ginetta chairman Lawrence Tomlinson and development driver Mike Simpson.
Mike Simpson said: “Having conducted much of the testing at Donington Park throughout the cars development in 2011, it provided the perfect baseline for a shakedown of the 2012 spec car. It proved to be an outstanding success, with the car showing a fantastic increase in performance from previous tests.”
