Tom Sharp has continued his dominance of the 2012 Michelin Ginetta GT Supercup with pole position in qualifying at Donington Park, the IDL UK driver putting himself in the best position to continue this season's winning streak.

VCARS.co.uk-backed Sharp was quickest throughout the twenty minute session, a best time of 1:09.296s putting him 0.239s ahead of his closest challenger Tom Ingram. Third fastest, 0.325s off Sharp, was Carl Breeze, while getting up to fourth late on was Josh Wakefield, the former British GT driver just nipping under the 1min 10s barrier with a 1:09.900s lap.

Andrew Richardson took fifth ahead of Hunter Abbott and Jamie Orton, the top seven being split by less than a second, while completing the top ten were the G55's of Colin White, Fergus Walkinshaw and Marcus Hoggarth.

Eleventh overall and taking the G50 class pole was Louise Richardson, the Richardson Racing driver setting a best time of 1:11.368s, only 0.112s quicker than closest rival Max Coates. Richardson's team-mate Mark Davies was third in class, ahead of Rob Gaffney, Reece Somerfield and James Owen.
