Ginetta proved the capabilities of its G40R 'race car for the road' after it secured a clear win in the Club MSV Team Trophy at Cadwell Park.
After being driven from the Ginetta factory in Leeds to the Lincolnshire circuit, the car was raced by Ginetta factory driver Michael Simpson and Ginetta G50 podium finisher Ian Parsons, before being driven back to head office, all on the same set of tyres.
After topping the timing sheets in the preliminary sessions, the car went on to take not only the Class B win, but also the overall win during the one hour endurance race, taking the victory by 21 seconds.
Mike Simpson said; “Topping the timing sheets across practice, qualifying and the overall race highlights G40R's ability to be used as a daily drive, as well as a race-winning machine. To turn up and race in a new championship and circuit and achieve this result just goes to show that Ginetta and the G40R are not one to be overlooked.”
The G40R is currently eligible to race within the Total Quartz Ginetta GT5 Challenge, MSV Team Trophy and MSV Track Day Trophy.
