Team LNT Join British GT Grid For Silverstone Enduro

1 Mins read

Team LNT are set to take part in the Avon Tyres British GT Championship for the first time since 2006. A Ginetta G55 will take part in the upcoming Silverstone round.

The three hour event will only be Team LNT’s third competitive outing in 2012, having earlier won the Britcar MSA British Endurance Championship (BEC)  races at Donington Park and Snetterton. The team are hopeful the race will be useful as they continue their programme of developing the GT3 car.

Ginetta chairman Lawrence Tomlinson will share the driving duties with regular BEC team mate, Michael Simpson.

“It’s great to have Team LNT back on the British GT grid. The car is exceptionally fast and is a rival for any marque in the GT3 category, our aim is to fine tune the car mechanically and aerodynamically to speed up the rate of development of the customer cars,” Tomlinson said.

Team LNT’s car will be joined by three further Ginetta G55 GT3 cars at Silverstone, as well as an additional four GT4 cars to make the Yorkshire based marque well represented at the home of British motorsport.

“It is fantastic to be part of Team LNT and Ginetta during this exciting development phase of the G55 GT3 life cycle. The G55 GT3 will be an affordable, outright winner in many championships and I am pleased to be joining Lawrence on this, a poignant return to the British GT grid,” Simpson added.
