Strong 2013 Calendar For F3 Cup Championship

1 Mins read

The 2013 F3 Cup championship will begin at Oulton Park on Easter Weekend alongside the British Formula Three International Series and Avon Tyres British GT Championship.

After a strong year in 2012 the 2013 season will take competitors to eight rounds during the year, including races on the full Grand Prix layouts of Silverstone, Brands Hatch and Donington Park, visiting the home of the British Grand Prix twice with dates in April and August.

Snetterton also hosts the F3 Cup teams twice during the year for a pair of weekends on the 300 layout of the Norfolk track, including the final weekend of the season on October 26-27.

The MSVR run championship – intended as an affordable single seater series, using older spec F3 cars, up to the Dallara F308 – provided close racing in 2012, culminating in a three way title battle on the final weekend of the season, with Chris Dittmann emerging a champion.

“The 2013 F3 Cup calendar announced by MSVR today is extremely strong and well balanced and once again the championship will visit some of the best tracks in the UK,” said MSVR race operations manager David Scott. “The season opens at Oulton Park in April, supporting the British Formula 3 International Series, which will be a great start to the year. The calendar will provide all the necessary challenges for drivers and teams and we now look forward to another great season for F3 Cup in 2013.”
