A Dozen British GT Cars On Display At ASI

A dozen cars from the Avon Tyres British GT Championship will be on show around the Birmingham NEC for the 2012 Autosport International show this weekend.

Cars from the series are set to star on the SRO Stand (hall 6, stand 6520) with nine cars from three classes. They include the Ferrari 458 GTC in which Gary Eastwood and Ryan Hooker clinched the GTC class for FF Corse, the team readying themselves to step up to the GT3 class for the 2013 season.

Leading three GT3 cars United Autosports’ McLaren MP4-12C that dominated the second half of the season, taking three wins in four races to close the year will also be present alongside a fleet of GT4 cars representing Mazda, Lotus and Ginetta. Two G50 GT4 will on the stand with 2012 class vice champions Century Motorsport alongside the car of Blendini Motorsport – another team set to join the expanding British GT grid next year.

Away from the SRO stand, a Porsche from reigning teams’ champions Trackspeed will be on the BRSCC stand (hall 7, stand 7050), Beechdean Motorsports’ GT3 Aston Martin Vantage will represent the series on the Motor TV stand (hall 6, sand 6830) second Lotus Evora GT4 will be on the Lotus Racing stand (hall 20, stand 2550).
