Formula BARC and Formula Vee youngster Henry Chart has confirmed plans to compete in the 2013 F3 Cup championship with Enigma Motorsport.
The 20-year-old from Beaconsfield will join the MSVR-run championship for his first taste of F3 machinery in 2013 after his maiden season in the BARC Renault championship last year where he picked up a best finish of 14th place at Croft
Chart will drive an ex-Robbie Kerr Dallara F302 for the Engima Motorsport team for the coming season that begins at Oulton Park on April 1, the team going into its second year in the championship after winning four races in the 2012 season.
“This is a really exciting challenge, with the opportunity to drive some proper race machinery at a very high level”, said Chart.
“I hope this will give me a chance to enhance my racing CV. I am looking forward to challenging for the F3 Cup title and working with the exciting young team of Enigma Motorsport.”
Tom Farquhar, Enigma Motorsport Team Manager said: “After our successful introduction to F3 Cup in 2012, we’re looking to start where we left off and fight for race wins. Ultimately the aim has to be the drivers and teams championships, and with an exciting young driver like Henry onboard we feel we have a very good chance of pushing for these goals in 2013.”
