Rory Butcher and Stefan di Resta will head Celtic Speed’s title attack in the 2013 Porsche Carrera Cup GB.

Butcher who finished fifth in last year’s championship standings with two victories is set to start his third full season in the series as one of the championship favourites. He will be joined by fellow Scot di Resta, younger brother of Formula 1 ace Paul, who moves into the series from the Celtic Speed-backed Scottish Mini Cooper Cup. The team now hope to find a third driver to complete their line-up between now and the start of the season.

Paul Leach, the team’s senior race engineer, said: “We’re planning to give Rory the best possible chance to challenge for the overall title and we are very excited about Stefan signing with us for 2013. Now we are keen to talk to drivers about our third and final seat.”

The team also confirmed that they will shortly be relocating to a new base in the Midlands which should bring many logistical benefits for the team and its partners. This move comes ahead of 2014 when the team plan to expand in to the Porsche Supercup as well as continuing to run drivers in the Carrera Cup GB.
