Rebellion Racing Confirm Driver Line Up For Opening Rounds Of Season

Rebellion Racing has confirmed its driver line up for the 12 Hours of Sebring and the first three rounds of the FIA World Endurance Championship which includes the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Returning to the foray after claiming fourth place in the 2012 running of Le Mans, denying Audi a clean-sweep is Nick Heidfeld, Neel Jani and Nicolas Prost in the #12 Lola-Toyota.

The sister #13 car will be lead by Andrea Belicchi and joined by European Le Mans Series LMP2 Champion Mathias Bech and China’s CongFu Cheng.

The driver line-up will remain the same for the first three rounds of the FIA WEC with the team expected to make an announcement about the remaining rounds later in the year.

The team will also be competing in the American Le Mans Series with Nick Heidfeld and Neel Jani with the season kicking off on March 16 at the 12 Hours of Sebring.

Rebellion Racing Team Manager Bart Hayden had previously outlined his intentions for the year ahed before confirming the driver line-up:  “We are looking forward to a great season of racing in 2013. In the ALMS, we definitely want to add some more overall victories to our resume. In the FIA World Endurance Championship, having won the FIA LMP1 Endurance Trophy for best privateer in 2012, it would be nice to win it twice in a row, and in June we hope to have another strong showing at Le Mans.”
