Rockingham Motor Speedway have released the dates their 2013 trackdays, events that provide a unique opportunity for people to run their circuit around the Corby-based circuit.
Trackdays are available on April 1, May 25, June 27, July 19 and August 30, costing from just £195.
The track days will use the 1.97 mile International Super Sportscar Circuit, as used by the British Touring Car Championship, incorporating the infamous Turn 1 banking. An open-pitlane format gives participants the chance to lap the circuit as many times as they wish during the day.
Included in the fee is a free session on Rockingham’s wet grip facility, to gain experience of driving in adverse weather conditions, as well as a free bacon roll and hot drink on the day.
Pit garages are distributed for free on the day on a first come first served basis, while they can also be booked in advance for a small fee. One to one tuition from professional ARDS instructors and helmet hire is also available at an additional cost, while full medical and safety cover is included in the price.
Rockingham Events Coordinator, Will Thomas, said: “Track days are always in great demand at Rockingham, and we believe this event offers the perfect opportunity for drivers to hone their skills and meet others who are passionate about their cars, in a fun and informal environment. Our experienced instructors like to get involved too, giving the lowdown on the best racing lines to take.”
Places can be booked on-line at www.rockingham.co.uk.
