Watson Announces Supercup Graduation

1 Mins read

Ginetta Junior race-winner Andrew Watson will step up to the Ginetta GT Supercup this season with Douglas Motorsport.

Watson enjoyed a strong debut season in the Juniors in 2012, taking a maiden podium on his second weekend in the championship, before going on to finish the season with six podiums to his name, including one win.

The Irishman will compete in a Ginetta G55 run by 2012 Ginetta Junior Team Champions Douglas Motorsport, the team that ran him last season.

“I think we will have a very successful 2013 season,” said Watson. “I felt right at home in the car straight away. I’ve learned so much by competing in Ginetta Junior last year so now I feel that I have a good knowledge of all the tracks that I will be racing on and I’m really looking forward to seeing what results we can produce over the season.”
