1 Mins read

German tyre brand Metzeler is set to mark its 150th anniversary celebrations with a series of events throughout the 2013 road racing season. A press conference will be held at the Ace café in London at 6pm on Friday with a number of distinguished guests in attendance where the plans will be outlined.

Fan events and activities are expected for the Isle of Man TT as well as the post-TT meeting with the Ulster GP and North West 200 also involved in the celebrations. Josh Brookes’ debut is one of the headline stories heading into this year’s TT and the two-time BSB runner-up will be on hand to explain his reasons for taking on the challenge of the TT.

Alongside Jack Valentine, Gary Johnson will bring the MV Agusta name back into TT racing and the Lincolnshire rider will also be in attendance, joined by MSS Kawasaki team boss Nick Morgan and his young rider Dean Harrison.

Metzeler are planning to announce details of their own camping village which will form part of this year’s Isle of Man TT. The fully equipped campsite will included blue Metzeler tents which will be free of charge to motorcyclists running on Metzeler tyres. The online booking system will go live on Monday morning (March 18th) at www.metzeler.com/roadracing.

The aforementioned link will also be the place to view live streaming of the press conference with updates also available at www.facebook.com/MetzelerUK.
