United Autosport Aim For Title Lead At Silverstone

1 Mins read

United Autosports head to Silverstone for the third round of the British GT Championship with their eyes set firmly on the top spot in the overall championship standings.

Two podiums from two events has placed the #25 Audi R8 LMS of Mark Patterson and Matt Bell in second place in the championship standings, the highest of the three-car United Autosports line up, which also features a brace of McLaren MP4-12Cs.

The previous round of the championship, Rockingham, was a mixed event for United Autosports, with the two McLarens encountering issues that hampered their races.

“We have had a great start to the season with the Audi,” said Team Owner Richard Dean.

“Mark and Matt have been on great form. While the McLaren’s have been fast, we have yet to get onto the podium. Having won the three hour race here at Silverstone last season, I am hopeful we can show strongly in 2013.”

The third round of the British GT season will see 48 cars take to the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit, with 32 cars contesting the GT3 class.
