A new driver line-up for United Autosports will be hoping for more of the same at Snetterton this weekend in Avon Tyres British GT Championship.

Ahead of the weekend it was confirmed that Mark Blundell will be replaced by 2011 British GT champion Glynn Geddie. Geddie has already made a pair of starts in the series for the team this season having filled for Alvaro Parente in the two races at Oulton Park over the Easter Weekend. Since then, driving a McLaren prepared by the Anglo-American team, Geddie has moved to the top of the Dutch Supercar Challenge points with his father Jim.

On both of the last two of the British GT paddocks visits to the Norfolk circuit United Autosports have taken their share of victories. With different co-drivers on each occasion Matt Bell won in both 2011, when he score UA’s first race win in a two hour race, and last year when he gave the McLaren MP4-12C GT3 a victorious debut in the championship.

This year he enters the weekend third in points after starting the year with two podiums from four races so far this season with Mark Patterson in the Audi R8 LMS ultra.

Geddie takes his place in the team alongside Jody Firth, with team co-owner Zak Brown and Portuguese star driver Parente in the team’s other McLaren.
