MTECH To Swap Ferrari for Ginetta At Zandvoort

1 Mins read

MTECH will enter a Ginetta G55 GT3 in the Zandvoort round of the British GT Championship.

Regular MTECH driver Derek Johnson will be joined by Luke Hines in the G55 after the team was forced to withdraw its regular Ferrari 458s due to unforeseen circumstances. After exploring many options, the decision was made to run a new factory supplied Ginetta.

“After visiting Ginetta and seeing their investment and commitment to producing a true British sports car, I knew we had to do something with them,” said team principle Mike Edmonds. “I am passionate about engineering and sports cars which is why the team has such strong links with Ferrari.”

Johnson tested a Ginetta over the 2012-13 winter break, so will have some knowledge of driving the car, while Ginetta recommended Hines due to his previous experience with the manufacturer.
