This live blog will be updated during the second free practice session at Zandvoort for the Avon Tyres British GT Championship.

16:51In GT4 the chasers beat the points leaders, Century Motorsport just 0.175s ahead of the Optimum Motorsport car that was an early gravel trekker.

16:50The AF Corse Ferrari that was in the gravel finishes 2nd fastest, with FF Corse’s 458 just a fraction of a second behind and the #33 Trackspeed car 4th

16:48The checkered flag falls on a frantic few minutes to end the session with Nick Tandy fastest again

16:45And Rob Barff now goes fastest – a 1:42.531. Aaron Scott then goes fastest before Nick Tandy beats them both to retake the top spot on 1:42.265

16:43Tandy improves again though to 1:42.707

16:43The PGF-Kinfaun Aston leaps up to 2nd fastest (1:43.483 – 0.385 off Tandy’s time)

16:41Now the Motorbase car goes to the top (1:43.098), only to be bested by Nick Tandy in the #31 and the Audi is now 3rd!!

16:40It’s now the #1 Porsche 2nd, #6 Aston, #31 Porsche and #25 Audi

16:39The #32 – Tartan Terror – now fastest with a 1:45.332, but it’s all changed in the top ten

16:38Another fastest lap from the #1 Porsche (1:46.358), but all of the top 8 improve. #32 Trackspeed Porsche now into 2nd

16:35The errant Ferrari has returned – the track is green again, but with just 10 minutes remaining

16:30Another red flag out. The AF Corse car is still stranded round the back of the circuit. 15 minutes to go

16:29There we go – the Motorbase Porsche leaps to the top by 4 – count ‘em 4 – seconds with the Team LNT Ginetta now second ahead of Tandy and Ashburn’s Porsche

16:28
16:26The AF Corse Ferrari is off at Mastersbocht – currently getting dragged from the gravel

16:2520 minutes to go – there’s a dry line past the pits – will we see an improvement in times

16:23Or not – they return to the pits under their own power

16:21The Blendini car is towed away – probably the end of their session

16:19Again, like the first session, very few improvements with the less experienced drivers in many of the cars

16:17The spins keep coming – the Triple R Blendini Ginetta G50 is off at Turn 8

16:13The green flag is back out – and the session restarts with 32 minutes remaining

16:0639 minutes to go in the session and the sunshine comes out to join the red flag

16:04And a BIG off for the APO Sport Ginetta G50 at Hugenholz. Red flag. Lots of damage to the car, and probably the tyre wall.

16:03Nick Tandy to the top of the times – 1:55.030

16:00Now Barff goes fastest – a time of 1:55.575. It’s stopped raining, so they should only get faster from here on in

15:58Now, Tandy’s #31 Porsche is up to 3rd, the FF Corse Ferrari (probably in the hands of Rob barff) is 2nd

15:57After the first flying laps it Fortec Motorsports fastest from Team LNT’s Ginetta G55 Gt3, but the times are 14 seconds off Tandy’s first session time

15:56Optimum Motorsport are the first to caught out by the conditions, the Ginetta G40 in the gravel on the outside of Tarzan

15:50And they’re off – it’s almost stopped raining, but the track is still very wet

15:41We’re ten minutes away from the start of the second session and the weather has all changed – with rain slanting in along the main straight
