Stoneman Banned For Two Races

1 Mins read

Dean Stoneman will miss rounds 15 and 16 of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB at Rockingham next weekend after picking up a two race ban.

The Redline Racing driver has been involved in a string of controversial clashes this season, not least at Croft where during the second race of the weekend, he caused an opening lap pile up which saw five cars eliminated from the race.

This incident earned the 23 year old from Southampton a suspended ban.

This has now been implemented following the Knockhill meeting where he made contact with Celtic Speed’s Rory Butcher at the first corner of the second race which forced the Scot to take a trip through the gravel, causing damage to his car and as a consequence ruining his race.

In addition, for the incident at the Scottish circuit Stoneman was penalised nine championship points and given a five-place grid penalty, which will be applied to his next race in the championship.
