Caterham Motorsport are offering spectators free entry to their final race meeting of the season at Silverstone on October 19/20.
The BRSCC-run event will feature a nineteen-race programme, taking in the final rounds of the Caterham Superlight R300, Supersport, Tracksport and Roadsport championships, as well as the Pistonheads.com Caterham Academy.
As well as showcasing a number of the British sportcar maker’s one-make race championships, the event will offer fans a rare chance to see the Caterham F1 Team car in action in the UK, with reserve driver Alexander Rossi completing laps of the GP circuit at lunchtime on both days.
Caterham are making a significant contribution to Silverstone to enable the circuit to host the special event, and to ensure spectators can receive free entry.
“Making Caterham accessible at every level is part of our key philosophy for the brand and a free race event like this will do that, plus much more besides,” said Caterham’s Chief Motorsport Officer Simon Lambert.
“In pure racing terms, it simply doesn’t get any better than Caterham racing. It’s exciting, ‘seat of the pants’ stuff and I hope people who come to this race meeting get a taste of our passion for the sport . The event will also be a rare opportunity to see an F1 car in action for free.”
