Louise Richardson will remain in the G50 class of the Michelin Ginetta GT Supercup for the final rounds of the season this weekend at Brands Hatch.
The 20 year old had hoped to step up to the main class in the series for the first time, however with no spare Ginetta G55’s available for her to drive, those plans didn’t come off.
Richardson made an impressive racing comeback last time out at Silverstone, taking two wins from two in her Richardson Racing-prepared G50 after more than twelve months on the sidelines.
The former Ginetta Junior race-winner is aiming to take a hat-trick of race wins around the iconic Brands Hatch GP circuit this weekend, which could remarkably give her third in the final G50 points standings if results go her way.
“It’s a shame that I wasn’t able to get into a G55 for the final rounds,” she said, “but unfortunately there were no cars available for me to use. However, I’m confident that I can put on a good show again in the G50, and I feel really good about the weekend ahead.
“My target is to try and win all three races, but that will all depend on how tough the competition is. I just can’t wait for the action to start, and hopefully I can come away from the weekend with more strong results as I work towards a full programme on track in 2014.”
Richardson will be up against Will Burns and Rob Gaffney in the G50 class this weekend.
