Gulf Racing have announced the appointment of a new Business Development Manager, Piers Maserati.

The team are yet to finalise their plans for 2014, but an announcement is expected shortly, with the intention to have a presence in multiple championships with competitive drivers in competitive cars.

“I am delighted to be joining Gulf Racing,” enthused Maserati. “2014 looks to be an exciting year for us and we are looking forward to putting together some strong packages in the UK and Europe, which deliver results our team and customer drivers expect.”

Gulf endured a tough season in the Blancpain Endurance Series in 2013, finishing ninth in the Teams’ Standings despite showing early season pace with a podium result in the opening round at Monza.

“With Gulf Racing now opening its historically closed doors to welcome customer drivers to the team we felt the need to have someone on board to help facilitate and manage that process,” said Gulf Racing Team Manager, Matt Beers.

“Gulf Racing are expanding and we need the right people in the right positions to make sure we can deliver to our customers the same level of performance and service that team Principals Mike & Roald have enjoyed in their own racing endeavours, it’s great to have Piers with us to do that, he adds extra strength to an already very capable team of people.

“We are looking forward to expanding next year in multiple championships where our customers can enjoy racing successes under the iconic Gulf Racing brand alongside some of the best Pro’s in the business”
