Bourdais stormed into a ten second lead at the restart with Jordan Taylor in the Wayne Taylor Racing car unable to keep the pace.
In GTLM Richard Lietz controlled the charge of Bill Auberlen in the BMW with nearest rival Marc Goossens four laps down on the German marque.
PC saw another cool, calm effort by Colin Braun in the CORE autosport car who controlled the assault of Tom Kimber-Smith behind.
However, it has to be GTD which saw the biggest battle with Alessandro Pier Guidi in the Level 5 Ferrari not being challenged by the Flying Lizard behind but the Audi was involved in a strong battle with the Porsche of Jan Heylen which finally resolved itself as the penultimate hour moved into hour 24.
