Corvette DPs had a firm grip on the Rolex 24 at Daytona as the race entered its 9th hour of running.

The early part of the 8th hour saw Wayne Taylor Racing and Action Express Racing battling for the overall lead, with Jordan Taylor passing Jamie McMurray to go to the head of the field before the next round of pitstops.

Shortly after the next round of pitstops took place, yet another full-course caution was flown, this time for the stricken #009 Aston Martin of Robert Nimkoff.

Following the short ten minute caution, Jordan Taylor stormed off back in to the lead while Jamie McMurray had to fight hard to stop the pair of Action Express machines passing the Chip Ganassi Racing Ford-Riley, eventually succumbing to both cars’ attacks.

Rob Huff held the lead in the early stages of the hour in the PC class before pitting under caution, handing the lead to James Gue in the #54 car.

Meanwhile, Porsche North America enjoyed a strong hour in GTLM, holding 1st and 3rd in class for much of the hour, before the #912 finally made it’s way past Jan Magnussen‘s #3 Corvette Racing C7.R.

Pitstops also shuffled the GTD category, with the #58 Snow Racing Porsche 911 pitting from the lead, handing the top spot over to the #63 Scuderia Corsa Ferrari 458 Italia.
