1 Mins read

Flying Lizard Motorsports heads to the Rolex 24 at Daytona full of confidence having set the fastest time in the GT Daytona class at the Roar Before the Rolex test sessions.

Campaigning two new 2014 Audi R8 LMS machines in the 29-car GTD class, Flying Lizard welcomes Seth Neiman, Dion von Moltke, Filipe Albuquerque and Alessandro Latif to the #35 car, while Nelson Canache Jr, Spencer Pumpelly, Markus Winkelhock and Tim Pappas take driving duties in the #45 entry.

Flying Lizard Motorsport enjoyed a strong 2013 American Le Mans Series season, taking four victories throughout the year, including the season-closing Petit Le Mans, on its way to securing the ALMS team’s GTC championship.

The 52nd running of the Rolex 24 at Daytona marks the start of a new era in American sportscar racing as the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship runs for the first time, following the merger of Grand-Am and the American Le Mans Series.

TheCheckeredFlag.co.uk will have full coverage of the event, including reports on every pre-race session as well as hour-by-hour updates throughout the race.
