Risi Competizione has announced their line up for the Rolex 24 at Daytona in two weeks time and serves as the opening line up for the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship.
The team have scored two Ferrari factory drivers in their three man line up for the Florida enduro with last season’s regular Matteo Malucelli who will continue on for the full TUDOR Championship season. Giancarlo Fisichella will complete an all-Italian line-up for the Risi squad for the full season in the bright red #62.
For the Rolex 24 the pairing are joined by FIA World Endurance Championship LMGTE Pro class champion Gianmaria Bruni, who will rejoin Fisichella having been split from his regular WEC teammate for the finale in Bahrain. Olivier Beretta, Maluclelli’s teammate at the Houston based team last season will complete the team for the race (January 25-26).
Risi have also been announced as receiving an automatic entry to the 2014 Le Mans 24 Hours alongside Muscle Milk Racing with their Oreca 03.
Team boss Giuseppe Risi said: “Budget permitting, Le Mans is definitely part of Risi’s plans for 2014. It’s an integral part of international sportscar racing and is the race we all want to be part of.”
The team won the GT2 class at the French classic in 2008 and 2009 with the hope of being able to continue their success in the LMGTE Pro category whilst also reported to be supporting Krohn Racing in both the TUDOR Championship an at Le Mans in the LMGTE Am category.
