In particular the test will be crucial for the drivers and teams in the Carrera Cup, as it provides the first and only opportunity for them to get to grips with the unique Thruxton circuit in their new 911 car’s ahead of the race weekend.
Many teams from the other championship’s were in attendance for the annual Thruxton pre-season test on February 18th, which took place before the Porsche entrants had received their new machinery.
“The BTCC is always one of the most popular events on Thruxton’s calendar, with fans turning out in their tens of thousands,” said Bill Coombs, Thruxton Group Managing Director.
“The racing provided by the support series’ is every bit as impressive, entertaining and gripping as the BTCC itself, and we are delighted to have so many of those support series stars testing here this week in preparation for the race meeting.”
