Erstwhile Michelin Ginetta GT4 Supercup points leader Charlie Robertson is determined to move back into the championship top three with two podium finishes this weekend at Oulton Park.
Robertson topped the standings after two wins in the first six races, however a combination of clutch issues and severe tyre wear meant he lost ground with a challenging weekend at Thruxton last time out.
The HHC Motorsport driver is now hoping to bounce back around the Oulton Park International Circuit, a track he produced fastest lap pace around en-route to a podium finish last year in the BRDC Formula 4 Championship.
“It’s been a few weeks since Thruxton so I’m really looking forward to being back in the car at Oulton where I hope we’ll be able to challenge for a couple of podiums at least,” said Robertson.
“The aim at the weekend is to move back up the championship, we lost some ground at Thruxton so the plan is to hit back as quickly as we can.
“Oulton is a fantastic track with lots of undulation, it’s definitely one of the most enjoyable circuits to drive. We showed good pace last year in F4 and even though the Ginetta is a totally different car, that experience should be beneficial. I’m really looking forward to being back there.”
