United Autosports Confident Of Oulton Ginetta Success

1 Mins read

United Autosports are targeting their second Michelin Ginetta GT4 Supercup victory of the season this weekend at Oulton Park.

2012 Supercup champion Carl Breeze is aiming for his first win of the year, while Luke Davenport will be hoping for a return to form and add to his Brands Hatch victory, with both drivers aiming to improve on their fifth and sixth positions in the driver standings.

Breeze hasn’t had the start to the season he’d hoped for, with only two podium finishes so far, but after a positive recent team test, the 34 year old is confident of making ground up in the points standings at a circuit he’s won multiple times at in the past.

“Oulton is one of my favourite circuits. Its undulating features really test the skills of a driver,” said Breeze.

“It is fair to say we have been frustrated with our early season pace but all credit to the team at United Autosports. They have done a fantastic job during the break to sort out the issues we have been suffering with. I believe our season starts now and I now have a car that will play to my strengths as a driver. I can’t wait for Oulton at the weekend.”

While Davenport’s association with the circuit isn’t as long as Breeze’s, the circuit holds strong memories for him after a superb 2013 outing. After a tough couple of rounds at Donington Park and Thruxton, he’s hoping to bounce back and return to the podium.

“We recently had a really productive test which I’m sure has set me up for a weekend back at the front of the field. Oulton Park is my favourite circuit. It is the place where I took my first pole position and win last year in the Ginetta Challenge,” added Davenport, who celebrated his 21st birthday last week.
