Jamie Orton will team up with Michelin Ginetta GT4 Supercup championship leader Charlie Robertson at HHC Motorsport for the remainder of the 2014 season.
Orton competed with Century Motorsport over the first half of the season, continuing a relationship that started at the halfway mark of the 2013 season and produced his first Supercup victory in the final round at Brands Hatch in October.
The former Caterham champion followed that up with second place in the opening round of 2014 at the same venue, but he hasn’t returned to the podium since with a pair of fourths being his next best results during a difficult campaign.
HHC have enjoyed a fruitful first season in the Supercup so far, with their sole driver Robertson currently leading the championship with four wins and a total of eight podium finishes to his name. Team boss Charlie Kemp is excited to be expanding their line-up with Orton.
“It fits in perfectly with what we want to do,” Kemp told Autosport. “It suited us perfectly to start with one driver. We’ve got a realy good handle on the car and I think we’ve done a really good job up to now.
“I think Jamie will be an absolutely fantastic addition to the team. It’s arguably the strongest driver line-up in the championship.”
