Robertson Targets Home Victory At Knockhill

1 Mins read

Charlie Robertson is hoping to fly the Scottish flag with pride and take a home victory at Knockhill this weekend in the Michelin Ginetta GT4 Supercup.

The Scottish teenager claimed a double victory on his last visit to Knockhill two years ago in the Ginetta Juniors, and the 17 year old is targeting more success on his return to the undulating Fife circuit after not competing there in BRDC Formula 4 last season.

Robertson sits 46 points clear at the top of the Supercup standings after taking a pair of victories last time out at Snetterton, his results over the weekend making it five pole positions, five race wins and ten podium finishes for the campaign so far – tallies he’s hoping to add to this weekend.

“I’m really looking forward to going back to Knockhill, it’s a fantastic track and it’s going to be great racing in front of family and friends again back home in Scotland,” said the 17 year old.

“I did miss racing there last year when I was in BRDC Formula 4, it’s actually one of the race meetings I’ve been most excited about so hopefully we can have a good weekend there.

“The aim is go out there and win again at Knockhill, Hopefully I can stand on the top step of the podium and make it a home win in the Supercup, but consistency is the most important thing to try and keep our advantage.”
