Jeroen Bleekemolen and Hari Proczyk beat their Blancpain Sprint Series title rival Maximilian Gotz to victory in the qualifying race at Portimao.
Bleekemolen moved into the lead at the start of the race past the pole-sitting similar Lamborghini of Tomas Enge. An error later in his stint at the last corner would see Enge lose further places, falling down to fourth behind the WRT Audis of Rene Rast and Laurens Vanthoor.
After the pitstops, Proczyk found himself under pressure from the early-stopping HTP Motorsport Mercedes of championship leader Gotz, sharing with Maximilian Buhk.
Gotz would finish within a second of the winner, but Proczyk did enough to stay ahead.
Enzo Ide took over from Rast and brought the #2 Audi home in third ahead of the sister #1 car of Cesar Ramos. The second HTP Mercedes of Stef Dusseldorp and Sergey Afanasiev finished fifth ahead of Enge and new co-driver Roman Rusinov, who took himself and his G-Drive backing from WRT to the Reiter squad for this race.
The third of the WRT Audis of Vincent Abril and Mateusz Lisowski took seventh and the Silver Cup honours ahead of the third Mercedes of Lucas Wolf and Luca Stolz.
The two BMW Team Brasil cars of Caca Bueno/Sergio Jimenez and Matheus Stumpf/Nelson Piquet Jr completed the top ten.
