HTP Motorsport duo Maximilian Gotz and Maximilian Buhk scored their second straight Blancpain Sprint Series main race win at Zolder, extending their respective standings leads.

Buhk moved up from sixth on the grid to fourth at the start while the Lamborghinis of Peter Kox and Hari Proczyk worked their way past  pole-sitter Cesar Ramos.

At the pitstop window, Proczyk made an early stop to hand over to Jeroen Bleekemolen, while Kox’s race came to an end because of a jack failure at his service.

Buhk stayed out in clean air, and a quick driver change allowed Gotz to rejoin ahead of Bleekemolen and take the lead. Gotz edged away to a 2.895 second win, extending his lead in the Sprint Series points over Bleekemolen and Proczyk, and increasing Buhk’s advantage in the overall Blancpain GT standings that cover both the Sprint and Endurance events.

Ramos and local ace Laurens Vanthoor finished a further 1.3s behind in third place. 17 seconds behind their winning team-mates in fourth was the second HTP car of Stef Dusseldorp and Sergey Afanasiev.

Close behind that was the debutant Beechdean Aston Martin Racing entry of Andy Soucek and Jonny Adam, the Bhaitech McLaren of Giorgio Pantano and Fabio Onidi and the Scuderia Villorba Ferrari of Filip Salaquarda and Alessandro Balzan.

Caca Bueno and Sergio Jimenez were eighth for BMW Team Brazil, with the top ten completed by Roman Rusinov and Tomas Enge‘s G-Drive Lamborghini and the all-Monegasque WRT Audi of Stephane Richelmi and Stephane Ortelli.
