Tolman Enter British GT With Ginetta GT4

1 Mins read

Tolman Motorsport will compete in the Avon Tyres British GT Championship for the first time this season, running a Ginetta G55 GT4 for Luke Davenport and David Pattison.

Experienced competitors across a range of Ginetta one-make championships, Tolman’s graduation to British GT will be led by Michelin Ginetta GT4 Supercup race-winner Davenport.

The former Ginetta GT5 Challenge racer took two wins in the BTCC support category in 2014 with United Autosports, a team with whom he also tested an Audi R8 GT3 at the end of the season.

Pattison has also gained experience competing in Ginetta’s, primarily competing in the Challenge for the past two seasons at the wheel of a Ginetta G20. He also got a first taste of a G55 with a one-off appearance in the Supercup at Silverstone last year.

Team owner Chris Tolman is pleased with his driver line-up, and says the move into British GT is part of ambitious future plans for the team.

“I am delighted to welcome David and Luke to the Tolman Motorsport team,” he said.

“I have known David both personally and professionally for some time and believe that together with Luke, they will make an excellent pairing which will provide both the pace and the experience that GT racing requires.

“Our future plans include GT3 campaigns in British GT and Blancpain series following on from the GT4 programme and culminates with our ultimate goal, competing at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2020.”
