Rising British Rallying star Chris Ingram will compete on the remaining five rounds of the FIA ERC Junior Championship with Peugeot UK in a 208 R2.
The Manchester born driver finished 6th on the opening round of the series, Rally Liepaja in Latvia, after a dramatic event.
Ingram, who is co-driven by Gabin Moreau, heads to Northern Ireland for round two of the series, the Circuit of Ireland. The Briton took the Colin McRae ERC Flat Out Trophy here last year after putting in an impressive performance before crashing out of the event and he is eager to finish the job this time out.
“20 of Europe’s best young drivers will be in Northern Ireland to compete, so it is going to be a brilliant challenge.” said Ingram. “I’ve led the rally on both occasions I’ve competed, but I hope to control it this time and finish with a top result.
“We will fight, however the championship is more important to me. It’s not going to be easy by any stretch of the imagination. There are some very fast drivers to compete against.
Follwing the Circuit of Ireland the ERC Junior Championship will see competitors tackle events in Portugal, Belgium, Estonia and the Czech Republic.
The Circuit of Ireland begins on April 2.
