Jenner dominates SST race to take first win

1 Mins read

Following on from the excitement of the first race at the 2015 St Petersburg Grand Prix, the SPEED Energy Formula Off-Road Presented by TRAXXAS Stadium SUPER Trucks race provided an even better spectacle as Burt Jenner dominated the race to take his first SST win.

Scotty Steele led in the early stages of the race but on lap 3 hit mechanical issues which would force him to retire, this was where Jenner took over at the front and would not look back at the fiece battle that was commencing behind him.

E.J. Viso was looking to make up for the frustrating opening race of the weekend which saw him slip from first to fourth on the final lap, battling once again with Sheldon Creed, side-by-side throughout the race until things got a little too close for comfort as they battled for second on the final lap as they tangled.

With Viso and Creed tied up, Keegan Kincaid and Robby Gordon slipped through to take second and third place ahead of Creed and Viso. Lalo Laguna took sicth place ahead of Charles Dorrance, Erik Davis and Bill Hynes.

A delighted Jenner spoke after the race, “For some of these guys it’s just another win,” he said, “But for me, this is my first win and it’s special, and something they can’t take away from me. It’s something I have been preparing for since I was four years old and proves that I can race with these guys.”
