Moffett Brothers Register For the European Rally Championship

1 Mins read

Irish brothers Sam and Josh Moffett have announced their intention to tackle a selected campaign on the 2015 FIA European Rally Championship. The Combilift Rallying pair will compete in two Ford Fiesta RRCs beginning with next month’s Circuit of Ireland Rally.

The team intend to run on at least three of the remaining eight events in the series and will be looking to build on their growing international experience. The Moffett brothers made their ERC and FIA World Rally Championship débuts in 2014.

“We’re both going to concentrate on the Circuit of Ireland, Azores and Ypres and then see how things go,” said Sam speaking to fiaerc.com. “We’d definitely like to go to Barum, and if the ERC is going well we’ll add Cyprus and others events into the programme too.”

The pair put in an encouraging performance on the Circuit of Ireland last year with Josh winning the production cup in his Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX by over seven minutes while Sam managed an impressive pace against the championship regulars before he was forced to retire with mechanical issues.

The Circuit of Ireland is the third round of the 2015 European Rally Championship and kicks of from Belfast City Hall in Northern Ireland on April 2nd.
