Burns Targeting Top Five Trio At Thruxton

1 Mins read

Will Burns is hoping to maintain his strong start to the 2015 Michelin Ginetta GT4 Supercup season with more top five finishes next weekend at Thruxton.

The HHC Motorsport racer has kicked off his second Supercup campaign with six consecutive top five finishes, including three podium finishes so far.

Last time out at Donington Park, Burns followed up fourth and fifth place finishes with his best result of the year so far, second place behind team-mate and championship leader Jamie Orton.

Burns now heads to Thruxton aiming to continue his top five finishing streak, having taken a pair of sixth place finishes in Hampshire last season.

“I’m looking forward to the next rounds at Thruxton,” said Burns, who finished fourth fastest in the official TOCA test at Thruxton three weeks ago.

“We had our pre-weekend test there earlier this month, and I’m targeting a hat trick of top five results to bank more crucial title points. But it’s a crazy place to race at and conditions may have changed by the time we get there.”
