Hillier stays with Greenall Racing for 2015 Classic TT

1 Mins read

James Hillier will once again ride for the Greenall Racing team at this year’s Classic TT as he looks to go one better than last year, where he finished as the runner-up.

Hillier will again compete in the Motorsport Merchandise Formula 1 Classic TT race on-board the Greenall Racing Kawasaki ZXR750K.

The Ringwood-based rider finished behind Bruce Anstey in 2014, posting an impressive lap of 121.469mph on his way to winning the Joey Dunlop Trophy for being the first 750cc Formula 1 bike to finish.

The well-established road-racing team have significantly upgraded the ZXR 750 machine that Hillier will be riding at the 2015 event.

On his return, Hillier said: “I had loads of fun last year at the Classic TT with the team and I’m really pleased to be going back again to hopefully go one better than last year.  Even though the meeting is fairly informal, everyone is still gunning for a win and it’s really competitive between the riders.

“Classic racing on the Isle of Man is definitely a different experience to racing at the TT but the course is still the same and no one will be more pleased than me if I can get the ZXR onto the top step.”

The Classic TT practice sessions get underway on Saturday 22 August, with the racing action taking place between August 29-31.
