Motors TV’s Got Talent Winner Announced

1 Mins read

Claire Cottingham has won the 2015 Motors TV’s Got Talent competition and will join the presenting line-up this season for the Avon Tyres British GT Championship.

The auditions took place at this year’s Autosport International Show held at Birmingham’s NEC in January, and Claire won this competition which was entered by hundreds of budding presenters.

“I watched Claire’s audition live in Birmingham and was immediately impressed with her composure. That was also apparent when we reviewed the tapes afterwards,” said Motors TV’s Head of Programming and Acquisitions, Frederic Viger. “This was her first time in front of the camera and, although she has experience in radio, the two mediums require different skills. Yes, her delivery is understandably very good, but other qualities like holding the viewer’s attention and her natural on-screen presence also came across. I’ve got very high hopes for her this year.”

“I feel honoured to have been chosen by Motors TV to help front their British GT coverage this year, and I’m so excited to be embarking on a new challenge in television,” enthused Claire. “I really can’t wait to get started at Rockingham.

“To have been offered an opportunity working on a series as prestigious as British GT is beyond a dream come true. I have no doubt the role will present its challenges, but I can’t wait to try my hand at television and must thank everyone at Motors TV and Hayfisher for the opportunity.”

Claire will start her TV presenting career on Sunday May 3 for this year’s British GT event at Rockingham at 13:00 BST.
